Important Notice: I am not currently seeking new clients, but feel free to contact me as needed. I may be able to point you to someone who can help you.

In the case that I’m not fully booked like I usually am, if you’re interested in having me write for you, contact me via email at potentialeight@gmail.com or via Skype at potentialeight. I’ll respond within 24 hours in most cases.

To help out people who may be interested in becoming a client, I have prepared answers to the most common questions I get in what follows.

Q: What are your current rates?

My starting rate for new clients is $0.085/word. However, these rates can vary a bit depending on anything else you’d like for me to do like formatting beyond the basics like HTML, sourcing images and so on.

Q: Do you have writing samples available?

I have a variety of samples of my writing available in the posts straight from my home page on a variety of topics.

Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

I primarily accept PayPal, but direct transfers to my bank are also fine.

Q: Do I have to pay upfront?

New clients may be asked to pay half of the estimated cost of their project upfront if the work is going to cost more than $200 total.

Clients who establish a prompt and reliable payment history do not have to pay upfront, and many of them pay on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis.

Q: Do you write all of the content, or do you have a team?

I write every bit of content that I provide. I have no writers working for me, I’m not an “agency,” and I don’t use “AI” style writing tools like ChatGPT.

Q: What style guidelines do you use for your writing?

I typically write in the Associated Press style, the standard for journalism in the United States. However, I can accommodate most anything you’d prefer otherwise.

Q: Can you add content directly to a CMS?

I can add content directly to your CMS. I’ve worked with a large number of different content management systems including WordPress, django, Webmatic, custom CMS builds and more.

Q: What are your turnaround times?

This depends largely on the size of your project and which day of the week you’re speaking to me. However, if you have weekly news or other items that need to meet specific deadlines on a regular basis, we can easily build a schedule for that together that I have no problem sticking to.

Q: Can you write a sample article for me?

If you’re paying me, I’ll write pretty much whatever you want. If you’re not interested in paying me, then no.

Q: Are you accepting other job offers?

I will consider job offers in this industry and related industries provided that they do not require me to move out of the state of North Carolina. I’m not interested in uprooting everything I have at this stage in my life. However, if you have an inquiry about a job offer, then feel free to contact me. Even if I’m not interested, I may be able to recommend someone qualified who could be a good fit.

Q: Will you hire me to write for you?

Thank you for your interest, but I am not interested in hiring any writers at this point in time.

Q: I have a question that’s not listed.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments via email at potentialeight@gmail.com or via Skype where my screen name is potentialeight.
